Ocean container shipping alliances
The deep-sea container trades are dominated by a small number of vessel-sharing alliances. Member carriers pool capacity on the long-haul East-West services so that any one operator can offer a higher-frequency, wider-port-coverage product than its own deployed fleet would otherwise allow. Below is the current map of active alliances plus the recent legacy partnerships that they replaced.
